In the Tarpani’s  pictural production: the landscape, the town planing, the rural context of Umbria suggest a kind of geometry of the soul which you perceive through the feeling of sensibility with misterious charm that reaches you in one’s hearts.

It is true that in the past the futurist mentions and the bringing up to date of Gerardo Dottori have had a certain weight in the formulation of judgements free from compromises and conditioning toward Tarpani. But today, more than ever and with real autonomy of expression, it is possible to follow the artist’s career and appreciate his experience going further to reach the meeting between the starting point and the actual original way to paint as a kind of interior original neoclassicality and for a lot revolutionary.  That is what remains from the former futurism performed now in a very personal and very peculiar way.

Tarpani’s neoclassicality is not to be understood in the academic sense and either as an improbable former revolution of his youthful

expression of last century with impetuousness and cheek.

It is an internal, precise inside, harmonuously developed that can be

recognized on the canvas, with the hope of who grasp in nature the genetic code of expression of the mind in geometrical lights and buildings touching the sky, as a map of life, complex, charming, unforseen but always aware of an unifying destiny daily through the historical experience of eachone.  In any case, hard eludeable

if the discordances  of the reality find freshness and comfort in the dream. Not in a sense of alienating but as a journey companion to light the lack of understanding of each of us for pure gist.

Then Tarpani is the courageous and persuasive translater of such a human condition expressed by his kind of geometrism.
